ABOUT ME

My experience with mental health and substance use comes from my upbringing in small town Nebraska. I understand the resistance and the stigma associated with what mental health can mean to some and yet as I have grown as a person and a professional I have taken these views and applied them to my practice. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2008 from Peru State College and obtained my Master’s Degree in 2012 from the University of Nebraska - Omaha.

My experience includes working with children and adolescents as young as 6 all the way to people in their 60’s. I have worked in traditional outpatient centers, day programs, within public schools, and other areas that have helped me to grow and understand what mental health may be for some.

I have been trained in a variety of therapy modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, TF-CBT, Sandtray, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and many more.
